Short and sweet  – our monthly meeting is tomorrow, Monday 4/29/2013 7pm @ JD Karting again – in Novi.

7:05pm meeting start with some kart racing after (7:30ish).

It’s that time again for our monthly meeting!

This month we’ll be having our meeting at the Honeytree next Tuesday, July 24th @ 7pm.

George’s Honey Tree is at the intersection of Northwestern Highway, 14 mile and Orchard Lake Roads. It’s in a strip mall that doesn’t have any other tenants in there. Big lot so we can park together without any potential door dings.

Best way to get there from the East Side – 696 to Northwestern, just past 14 mile on the right. If you hit Orchard Lake Rd, you’ve gone too far.

From the South/West – Orchard Lake North just past 14 mile. Turn right into the Mobil gas station. The driveway continues and connects to the strip mall parking lot. You’ll want to drive around the speed humps by darting into the lot as soon as you can.

From the North – Middlebelt South, turn right on 14 mile. Turn Right on Northwestern Hwy, Almost immediately on your right is the lot. (You can take Orchard Lake instead of Middlebelt but the turnaround situation is a bit rediculous at that intersection).

If you’ve never been, they have great Greek food at a reasonable price. They don’t have alcohol but there’s a Champps across the street.

It has been way too long since our last communication. We had some ‘password’ issues that were just recently ironed out. Previous attempts at a monthly meeting were abandoned as the email communications could not go out. So – enough with the excuses..

We’re here to announce plans for the next GLZC Picnic/Meet @ Kensington Park. This will be held Saturday 7/7 at Kensington Metro Park, Lot F. Come one come all.

Our birthday gift to you: Free 2012 Great Lakes Z Club membership to each Z owner that attends the birthday bash. (You will get your member ID card that evening. Does not include decals or magazine subscription. They can be purchased that evening.)

In the next couple weeks, each member will receive a new membership card. For those who just joined and were looking for their card, I apologize for the delay. You will have it soon and I will adjust the expiration date accordingly.

The original concept of the membership cards was noble but not practical. They had to be created online, member photo inserted, copied, pasted, adjusted to fit, printed on a color laser printer, trimmed and layed with the back side image, laminated and then trimmed down again.  Oye! I’m tired just thinking about it. The new card are more simple yet still look good. You’ll have to wait to see.
